Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Tennis beat McDaniel College 9-0 on Saturday afternoon, improving to 5-0 in Centennial Conference matches this season.
The Garnet (6-7 overall), have shutout four of those conference opponents.
All three Swarthmore doubles teams won 8-0. In the first spot, it was sophomore
Shirline Wee and junior
Julia Gokhberg. Seniors
Ashley Gao and
Rachel Bronkema teamed up in the No. 2 slot, and juniors
Shivani Gupta and
Rachel Hechinger were at third doubles.
In singles, Wee won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1. In the two slot, sophomore
Vivien Fernandez-Ravelo earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory. Gupta won 6-1, 6-1 as the third singles player. Bronkema picked up an 8-1 win at No. 4. Senior
May Dong won 8-0 in the No. 5 position. And senior
Sophia Schuster was an 8-0 winner in the No. 6 match.
Swarthmore has a match at Washington College in Chestertown, Md., on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
