HILTON HEAD, S.C.—Swarthmore College Women's Lacrosse rolled to an 18-3 win against Nichols College during the team's spring break trip to South Carolina.
Elizabeth Wainwright led everyone with four goals, five players scored a pair of goals—
Bella Levine,
Sydnie Schwarz,
Kathryn Restrepo,
Tess Wild and
Mackenzie Frost, and four more had a goal each.
Bridget Silveira,
Julia Ostrowski,
Sophie Peipher and
Mia Capozzoli all found the back of the net once.
Ostrowski had three assists to go with her goal, and Wild added two helpers.
Betsy Cohen played all 60 minutes in goal and registered five saves.
Swarthmore leapt out to a 6-0 lead in the first five minutes and never looked back. Wainwright had her hat trick by 17:16 in the first half and scored her fourth with 14:21 to go in the initial period.
The Garnet had an impressive 14-2 lead by the break and Swarthmore reserve players added four more goals for good measure in the second half.
Swarthmore completes its spring break slate of games back at home on Saturday with a 1 p.m. game against Eastern University.
