SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- Swarthmore College Volleyball hosted Johns Hopkins University and Vassar College at Tarble Pavilion on Saturday afternoon and lost to both teams.
The Garnet (12-6, 5-2) have only lost back-to-back matches twice this season.
Match One: Swarthmore 1, Johns Hopkins 3
Swarthmore battled for a 25-20 win in the first set but lost the next three to the Blue Jays (17-3, 7-1) 25-22, 29-27, 26-24.
Garnet junior middle blocker Isabella Andrews had a career-high 10 total blocks in the loss. She added seven kills with a .294 hitting percentage.

Mehra den Braven led Swarthmore with a match-high 19 kills. Senior libero
Sarah Girard led the team with a match-high 21 digs.
Swarthmore falls below Muhlenberg College to fourth place in the Centennial Conference after the loss to Hopkins. The top five teams in the conference make the playoffs.
Match Two: Swarthmore 2, Vassar 3
The Garnet and Brewers (13-7) went back and forth in this one. Swarthmore suffered a 25-14 defeat in the first set, won the next 25-22, lost the next 25-15, won the fourth 25-19 and lost the last set 15-9.
Junior
Emma Morgan-Bennett's 18 kills were a team-high for Swarthmore. She hit .406 in the match.
Sophomore
Alyssa Nathan had a match-high 43 assists for the Garnet.
Girard had a team-high 23 digs as she's now recorded over 20 digs in three of the last four matches. She hasn't done that at any other point in the season. Freshman
Katie Silva tied a career high with 19 digs.
Swarthmore has five regular season matches remaining, three of which are against conference opponents. The Garnet have their next match on Friday at 6 p.m. at Gettysburg College.
