ALLENTOWN, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Basketball fell 71-41 on the road at No. 16 Muhlenberg College on Wednesday night.
Abigail Pirron led Swarthmore with eight points and five rebounds.
Hayley Raymond and
Bridget Scott both scored six points.
Raina Williams and
Kendall Tribus each added five.
Muhlenberg shot 40.9 percent from the floor and contained Swarthmore to 18 percent shooting overall.
Swarthmore struggled in the first quarter, falling behind 17-6 after the first break, and never was able to gain any momentum against the Mules. The Garnet were strongest in the third quarter, posting 17 points.
Rachel Plotke led the Mules with 17 points, and Chelsea Gary added 11.
Swarthmore returns home for a 1 p.m. game on Saturday against McDaniel.
