No. 7 Garnet Stunned By Mules In OT

ALLENTOWN, Pa.—No. 7 Swarthmore College Men's Basketball fell in overtime of Wednesday night's conference road game at Muhlenberg College.

In the team's first meeting of the season back on Nov. 30, Swarthmore won by double-digits. However, this time around, Muhlenberg pulled off the 91-88 upset.

After leading by four in the first half, Swarthmore led by 10 points two minutes into the second half following a jump shot by Cam Wiley. Muhlenberg then went on an 8-0 run to make the game close again. Muhlenberg's Nick Rindock hit another basket to even the score again at 53-53. Rindock gave Swarthmore fits all night, dropping 33 points on 10-of-22 field goals and 10-of-10 free throws.

From that point in the game, the teams exchanged the lead 12 more times in regulation. A 3-pointer from Rindock gave Muhlenberg a two-point advantage with 13 seconds to go. Wiley responded with a clutch jump shot with four seconds left to force overtime tied at 83-83.

In overtime, Muhlenberg drew first blood, but Robbie Walsh finished a layup to even the count. After another Rindock jumper, Zac O'Dell knocked down a 3-pointer to give Swarthmore the advantage again with 2:43 to play.
Muhlenberg sank four free throws the rest of the way, and Swarthmore went 0-for-4 with a turnover to close out overtime.

Zack Yonda led Swarthmore with 19 points and eight rebounds. He also posted four assists.

Walsh shot 8-for-9 to finish with a season-high 18 points. Wiley netted 7-of-18 field goal attempts for a 17-point game. Swarthmore's fourth player with double-digit points was Ryan Ingram with 16 points.

With the loss, Swarthmore slipped to 17-3 overall and 11-2 in Centennial play. Muhlenberg improved to 9-11 (7-6 Centennial).

Swarthmore looks to bounce back on Saturday at home against McDaniel College.
