SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Basketball scored a career-high 17 points against the Washington College Shorewomen on Thursday night.
Pirron sank two 3-pointers and had five free throws in the 64-55 loss to the Shorewomen.
Isabelle Ewart knocked down three triples en route to 12 points and also had seven rebounds.
Audra Woodside added nine points and six rebounds, and
Raina Williams finished with a team-high eight rebounds and four blocks.
Swarthmore opened the game with a 12-10 lead in the first quarter. The Garnet lead stood at 18-14 with 8:05 to go in the second quarter, and the score was tied at 23 after Williams sank a pair of free throws. However, Washington then went on a 9-2 run and took a seven-point lead into halftime. The visitors never looked back and kept the Garnet at arm's length the rest of the way.
The Garnet return to action on Saturday at Gettysburg College.
