SWARTHMORE, Pa.--Swarthmore College Men's Soccer battled to a 2-2 draw with the Dickinson College Red Devils on Saturday to begin Centennial Conference play.

After falling behind in the 24th minute, the Garnet rallied to tie the score in the 29th minute. Nafziger was harassed just outside the 18 on the right wing, resulting in a free kick. Tommy Sheehan took the kick and curled in a pass to the middle of the box where Nafziger had darted in rose up to the meet the ball with his head. Nafziger connected and scored the perfectly executed header from about eight yards out.
Dickinson took a 2-1 advantage on a chip shot in the 62nd minute, and time appeared to be running out on the Garnet. The Garnet went to the bench in the 87th minute and brought in Eddy Harvey. With just two minutes and six seconds left in the game, Eddy Harvey recovered a bouncing ball just outside the 18 and volleyed it from straight-on, burying past the diving keeper and in the left side of the goal.
Both teams battled through two periods of extra time, but neither could find a goal to break the tie.
The Garnet are right back in action on Sunday at St. Mary's (Md.) for a 2 p.m. game.
