ROSLYN, N.Y.—Swarthmore College Badminton wrapped up the 2016-17 season at the Northeast Collegiate Team Championships, finishing second in the Division 2 B bracket.

The Garnet went 2-2 in their head-to-head matches and 17-19 in overall individual matches. Swarthmore, Princeton University and George Mason University all were tied for second, but Swarthmore held tiebreakers over them both.

Hailie Xie earned singles wins against Rochester (21-11, 21-8) and UConn (21-14, 21-10). In doubles play with May Htet, they won against Rochester and Connecticut again, 21-7, 21-8 and 21-13, 21-10, respectively.

Francis Ge earned doubles wins with Tracy Tang against George Mason (21-7, 21-5) and then against Connecticut (21-19, 21-19) and Princeton in a three-game battle (21-10, 17-21, 21-16).
