SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Badminton won its home matches against Haverford College and Temple University on Sunday. The Garnet won six of the seven total matches on Sunday.
Against Haverford, Francis Ge won in two sets 21-6, 21-8. In doubles play, Tracy Tang and Francis Ge won 21-19, 21-15.
Versus Temple, the Garnet won all four matches, but had some tighter competition, winning three of the matches in three sets. In doubles play, Tina Zhu and Natasha Chak dropped the first set 12-21 but rallied to win the next two sets 21-19, 21-15. May Htet won first singles with ease 21-6, 21-10. Hriju Adhikari was edged 21-23 in the first set, but then took the next two 21-14, 21-18. In third singles, Aayushi Dangol won 18-21, 21-6, 21-8.
Badminton competes in its final tournament of the season next weekend.
