SWARTHMORE, Pa.–Despite making it a one-possession game in the fourth quarter, the Swarthmore College women's basketball could not close the gap and fell 53-41 to the visiting Ursinus College Bears on Wednesday, Dec. 6.
Audra Woodside notched a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds as
Isabelle Ewart sank two treys en route to 12 points.

Ursinus opened the second with a run to distance itself from the Garnet. Ewart and Woodside combined for the team's eight points in the quarter and the visitors carried a 30-20 lead into the locker room.
Swarthmore turned the tide in the third quarter and used an 11-0 run over five minutes to come within two. Woodside and Ewart sank baskets and Williams and
Bridget Scott each made both of their free throws. Up 34-32, Ursinus countered with a three-point play and held a 37-32 lead before the final frame.
