SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Soccer fell 1-0 against the Washington College Shoremen at home on Wednesday night. The Garnet rattled off 22 shots but couldn't find the back of the net.

Washington College tallied its goal in the 30th minute, with Greg Adams scoring with a header off a well-executed cross from the left wing beyond Swarthmore's last defender.

The Garnet tallied four shots on goal, starting with a long-range shot from Francis Eddy Harvey. Joe Barile had a shot on target in the 25th minute, and an attempt by another freshman Charley Ward was turned away in the 35th minute.

In the 49th minute, Feliz Laniyan drove a shot from outside the 18 just over the crossbar. Eddy Harvey had another shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the Garnet were kept off the board.

Swarthmore, 2-2-3 in Centennial Conference play, hosts Gettysburg College on Saturday at 4 p.m.
