CARLISLE, Pa.–Junior
Hayley Raymond scored 12 points and the Swarthmore College women's basketball team fell, 78-37, to the Dickinson Red Devils on Saturday, Jan. 21.
Freshmen
Abigail Pirron and
Lindsay O'Sullivan added eight and seven points, respectively, while
Maggie O'Neil chipped in eight rebounds and three blocks. Swarthmore was narrowly edged by a 47-45 margin on the boards against the Centennial Conference-leading Red Devils.
The Garnet managed just 12 points in the first half and trailed by 34 points at the break. In the third, Raymond was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field with two treys en route to eight of the team's 15 points. Swarthmore outscored Dickinson, 10-8, in the fourth quarter as it limited the Devils to 21 percent from the field and forced five turnovers.
The women's basketball team looks to snap its four-game losing streak when it hosts Franklin & Marshall on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. in Tarble Pavilion.
