SWARTHMORE, Pa-The Swarthmore College women's tennis team (8-5, 7-1 CC) notched a 7-2 win over visiting Dickinson College on Saturday, April 23 to secure a top-three seed in postseason play. Three Garnet players were double winners on the day.

Sophomore
Ashley Gao and classmate
Rachel Bronkema first handled Elizabeth Marin and Jaclyn Baum at the no. 3 position, 8-1. Junior
Alli Wong and sophomore
Maria Cuervo earned the second doubles point at no. 1, defeating Sydney Diamond and Lydia Fox by an identical score.
Freshman
Julia Gokhberg did not drop a single game at no. 1 singles, beating Diamond 6-0, 6-0. Classmate
Shivani Gupta followed with a 6-2, 6-1 win against Baum, as Bronkema downed Marin 6-1, 6-1 at no. 4. Gao and Wong pushed their matches to super tie breaks at no. 5 and no. 2, respectively, and both ultimately won. Gao defeated Fox, 6-4, 3-6, 10-7, and Wong trumped Madison Parks, 4-6, 6-1, 10-6.
Swarthmore hosts Haverford College next
Wednesday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. at the Faulkner Courts.
