Maria Cuervo challenged Grace Minassian and Maddy Stoner at the No. 1 doubles position, but ultimately fell in a tiebreak, 9-8(4).
The Garnet's lone point came from sophomore
Anna Scheibmeir, who also pushed her match to a tiebreak. Scheibmeir prevailed over Emily Szkudlarski at No. 4 singles, 3-6, 6-4, 10-8.
Swarthmore resumes conference play against no. 40 Washington College at
4:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, April 5 at the Faulkner Courts.
