SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Lacrosse honored its six seniors on Saturday prior to the final weekend home game of the season. The Garnet had the tough task of playing the No. 5 team in the nation for senior day. Swarthmore fell to the visiting Franklin & Marshall Diplomats by a final score of 15-0.
Swarthmore honored seniors Elizabeth Upton, Christine McGinn, Nathalie Perry-Freer, Lizzie Kolln, Tazmin Bailiff-Curtis and Connie Bowen prior to the contest.
F&M played the spoiler role, and posted 12 goals in the first half to take a commanding lead. Swarthmore registered five shots on goal, but couldn't slip any past F&M's goalies.
Perry-Freer led Swarthmore with two caused turnovers and four ground balls. Swarthmore recorded seven caused turnovers and 15 ground balls.
Swarthmore (5-7, 1-4 Centennial) plays two conference games on the road next week. The Garnet travel to Muhlenberg on Wednesday and then to Dickinson on Saturday.
