Women's Lacrosse Cruises Past Eagles

ST. DAVIDS, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Lacrosse rolled to a 14-2 victory on Saturday on the road against the Eastern University Eagles.

The Garnet jumped all over the Eagles in the first half to enforce the 10-goal running clock with 1:42 remaining until halftime.

Lizzie Kolln netted a game-high four goals. Kolln has now scored at least three goals in four of five games this year. Briana Narzikul tallied a hat-trick, scoring all three goals in the first half. Sophomore Kathryn Restrepo added two goals, and Bella Levine, Elizabeth Wainwright, Tess Wild and Nathalie Perry-Freer all scored a goal as well.

The Garnet out-shot the Eagles 28-15 and put 23 of those attempts on goal. Garnet senior goalie Connie Bowen made three saves in the win.

Narzikul led off the Garnet scoring early, netting a free-position shot with 27:20 to go in the first half and then hitting another one two minutes later.

Kolln struck for three consecutive goals to boost Swarthmore's lead to 5-0 with 12:51 to play. Narzikul joined Kolln in the hat-trick club just over a minute later, scoring after receiving a helper from Kolln.

The Eagles recorded their first goal with 10:55 left in the first, but the Garnet then rattled off eight straight goals to put the game completely out of reach.

Swarthmore (3-2) takes on another Main Line opponent on Tuesday, facing Cabrini at 6:30 p.m.
