UNION, N.J.—Swarthmore College Men's Soccer traveled to Kean University on Wednesday night for a non-conference game but couldn't come home with the win. The hosting Wildcats scored a pair of second-half goals and held off the Garnet 2-0.

With the loss, Swarthmore slipped to 6-5 overall. Kean improved to 10-3 with the victory.

The Garnet posted 14 shots to Kean's 15 and took five shots on goal. Swarthmore goalkeeper Michael Thut recorded six saves in the loss.

Kean's Michael Vargas recorded the brace, scoring in the 56th and 73rd minutes. The second goal came off a deflection that redirected a shot over Thut and in.

The Garnet are back in action on Saturday at Gettysburg College at 1 p.m.
