GETTYSBURG, Pa.–A sluggish first half proved to be too much of a setback for the Swarthmore College women's basketball team (3-14, 2-9 CC) as it fell by a 55-78 score to the homestanding Gettysburg College Bullets (12-3, 6-3 CC) on Monday, Jan. 25.
Jessica Jowdy scored 21 points for her seventh consecutive game in double figures and added eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Abbey Deckard totaled 13 points with three makes from beyond the arc while

After two periods, the Garnet found themselves behind at 17-36 with a 15 turnovers and a 5-of-29 shooting mark. Swarthmore, however, got its offense going in the third with 20 points and only two giveaways. In the fourth, the seniors Jowdy and Deckard combined to score Swarthmore's first 11 points of the frame, but the Garnet could not trim their deficit to below 20 points.
