ALLENTOWN, Pa.–The Swarthmore College women's basketball team (3-13, 2-8 CC) scored 21 points in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to overcome the nationally-ranked Muhlenberg Mules (13-1, 7-1 CC), as the Garnet fell 59-74 on Wednesday, Jan. 20.
Muhlenberg sits at 12th in the most recent WBCA poll and 16th in this week's D3hoops.com rankings.
Senior

Bridget Scott collected a monster double-double with 16 points and 17 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass.
Maggie O'Neil swatted a career-best seven blocks as Swarthmore limited its opponents to 36.5% from the field, its worst shooting mark of the season.
The Garnet fell behind by double digits after the first period and struggled to make up ground in the second. Scott corralled five rebounds and scored nine points in the quarter, including the final five for either team before the intermission.

The teams traded points with Muhlenberg scoring the last basket of the quarter for a 64-38 advantage heading into the fourth. Jowdy poured in seven points in the period as Scott, O'Neil, and

The Garnet look to snap a nine-game losing streak and pick up the first road win of the season when they travel to Gettysburg on Saturday, Jan. 23 for a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference showdown.
