SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Goals came early and often for the Swarthmore College women's soccer team in its 2015 home opener as the Garnet (2-0) beat the Neumann Knights (0-2) by a 15-0 score on Saturday, Sept. 5. The offensive output set program and Centennial Conference records for goals in a half (11) and a game (15).
Freshman
Marin McCoy, sophomore
Sommer Denison and senior
Emily Gale each found the back of the net twice and McCoy added two assists as well.
Hannah Lichtenstein finished with five points from one goal and three assists as

Kayla Handel,
Caroline Meier,
Justine Albers,
Mele Johnson and
Tazmin Bailiff-Curtis all scored for Swarthmore.
With a 4-0 win over on Tuesday, Sept. 1 the Garnet now have outscored their opponents 19-0 to start the season.
O'Brien netted her second goal of the 2015 campaign just under two minutes into the game on a through ball by Lichtenstein and the short-handed Neumann squad never recovered. The Knights finished with three shots on goal, all of them coming in the second half, to the Garnet's 26.

Sydney Hunter all appeared in net and 29 Swarthmore players saw action during the course of the game.
The team concludes the Swarthmore & Bryn Mawr Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 6 when it hosts St. John Fisher on Clothier Field at 1 p.m.
