BOX SCORECARLISLE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's tennis team (10-5, CC 6-1) resumed conference domination on Saturday, Apr. 18, defeating Dickinson by a score of 8-1.
Senior
Harrison Lands and freshman
Josh Powell teamed up at No. 2 doubles to claim an 8-5 win over Joey Frank and Samuel Loring. At No. 3, sophomore
John Larkin and freshman
Blake Oetting beat Josh Kaseff and Evan Davis, 8-3, giving Swarthmore a 2-1 lead after doubles play.
The Garnet went on to sweep singles competition. Larkin earned his second win at No. 1, routing Steven Kaplan by a score of 6-0, 6-1.
Mark Fallati overcame Frank in three sets, winning 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 at No. 2. Â At No. 3, Cepelewicz defeated Clark Chapman in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
Oetting and freshman
Yosuke Higashi earned victories at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Oetting soundly defeated Shawn DIniz, 6-1, 6-2, while Higashi won against Kaseff in a 6-2, 6-4 decision. Freshman
Michael Song rounded out the Garnet lineup at No. 6, notching a 7-6, 6-2 win over Loring.
The men will next host Washington College on Wednesday, Apr. 22 at 4 p.m.
