BOX SCORESWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's tennis team (7-6, CC 3-3) suffered a conference loss to Franklin and Marshall by a score of 7-2 on Saturday, April 11.
Freshman
Maria Cuervo was a double winner for the day. She teamed up with sophomore
Alli Wong at No. 1 doubles to defeat CJ Rummelsburg and Sarah Haas. The Diplomats gained an early 2-1 lead and momentum that carried into singles action.
Cuervo then went on to notch a 6-1, 6-3 convincing victory over Haas at No. 3 singles, earning another point for the Garnet.
The next match for Swarthmore will be at home on Wednesday, April 15, as the women host Bryn Mawr College. Play is slated to begin at 5 p.m.
