BOX SCORECHESTERTOWN, Md – The Swarthmore College women's tennis team (5-4, CC 1-2) suffered its second conference loss by a score of 7-2 to Washington College on Tuesday, April 1.

Alli Wong and freshman
Maria Cuervo paired at No. 1 doubles to score the first team point with a 9-7 win over April Weaver and Marielle McIntryre. Taking No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, Washington led 2-1 going into singles play.
Wong then earned her second victory of the day, dominating McIntyre at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-0. While the Shorewomen claimed wins at No. 3, 4, 5, and 6 singles to clinch the match, freshman
Anna Scheibmeir continued to battle Weaver at No. 1. Scheibmeir ultimately lost narrowly, 2-6, 6-2, 10-6.
The Garnet women will play their final non-conference match at The College of New Jersey on
Friday, April 3.
