WESTMINSTER, Md—Swarthmore College Men's Basketball made it six straight victories to start the 2015-16 by holding off the McDaniel College Green Terror 62-56 on Saturday afternoon.

Chris Bourne led the Garnet in scoring with 16 points.
Zack Yonda added 12 points. For only the second time this season, the Garnet were out-rebounded by their opponents. McDaniel had the rebounding edge 35-31. Swarthmore's
Robbie Walsh had a team-high eight rebounds.
Swarthmore led for the majority of the contest, but McDaniel caught up to Swarthmore with 7:53 remaining in the game. A 7-0 run consisting of a Bourne layup, a pair of free throws from Yonda and a 3-pointer from
Matt Brennan put Swarthmore back in control 56-49 with 2:27 to play.
McDaniel came within four points after a 3-pointer with 37 seconds left by Wes Brooks. Brooks scored a game-high 18 points. Swarthmore's
Sam Lebryk canned 2-of-4 free throws in the final 33 seconds for a little insurance. The Green Terror, playing from behind, resorted to taking four treys in the game's final 30 seconds, but couldn't find the basket.
Swarthmore held a slight advantage shooting from the floor Saturday, making 21-of-50 field goal attempts (42 percent), while McDaniel shot 20-for-52 (38.5 percent). Swarthmore connected on 16-of-20 free throw attempts (80 percent).
The Garnet (6-0, 3-0 Centennial Conference) are back in action on Wednesday in a non-conference game at PSU-Abington.
