The Garnet outscored the Pride 21-16 in the first quarter as sophomore

In the second, freshman

Unfortunately for the Garnet, the Pride used a 16-0 run to take a 57-53 lead with 28 seconds remaining in the final period. Jowdy sank two free throws to make it a one-possession game and hit a game-tying three over her defender after Widener hit one of its two freebies on the other end.
The women's basketball team resumes competition on Saturday, Nov. 21 when it hosts Neumann at 1:00 p.m. in the opening game of the Swarthmore Tip-Off Tournament. Randolph-Macon College and Wesleyan University (CT) will also be competing.
