Garnet Kept At Bay By Shorewomen

CHESTERTOWN, Md.—Swarthmore College Field Hockey posted four shots against Washington College Thursday afternoon but was kept off the scoreboard by the Shorewomen. The Garnet fell 2-0 in the Centennial Conference contest.

The Garnet ran into a Shorewomen squad that has won six straight games, including four consecutive shutouts. Washington scored early in the contest, netting a penalty stroke in the 3rd minute. The Shorewomen's second goal came off a corner 42 minutes in.

Swarthmore goalkeeper Ainsley Parrish recorded another double-digit save game, her third this season. Parrish denied 12 shots on goal to up her season total to 85.

Swarthmore's conference slate continues at Gettysburg College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
