BOX SCOREGETTYSBURG, Pa. - Winning its third consecutive match, the Swarthmore College men's tennis team (8-6, 5-0 CC) remained undefeated in conference action with an 8-1 victory at Gettysburg on Wednesday, April 16.
The Garnet opened by winning two of the doubles matches. Seniors
Dan Park and
Christian Carcione secured an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles against Mike Pratt and Kevin DeRosa and seniors
Anthony Collard and
Preston Poon dominated at No. 3 by an identical score.
The Swarthmore men capitalized on their doubles lead as they swept the singles matches all in straight sets. Four individual players were double winners for the day. Collard was too strong for Dave Musser at No. 1, earning a 6-2, 6-1 win. Poon also won his second match when he dominated Pratt at No. 3, 6-1, 6-0. Park and Carcione secured victories at No. 4 and 5 by scores of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-1, respectively.

Max Kaye and junior
Harrison Lands completed the Garnet domination with wins at No. 2 and No. 6, respectively. Kaye downed Scott Johnson, 6-2, 6-4, and Lands overwhelmed Wes Craft, only losing two games en route to a 6-1, 6-1 win.
Swarthmore will face reigning conference champion Johns Hopkins University on Friday, Apr. 18 in Baltimore at 4:00 p.m.
