Anthony Collard won both of his matches to help lead the Swarthmore College men's tennis team (7-6, CC 4-0) to a 9-0 sweep of Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, Apr. 12 at the Faulkner Courts.
The Garnet opened the afternoon with three doubles wins, which included Collard teaming up with freshman
Thomas Vernier for an 8-0 shutout win over F&M's Tommy Weibye and Doug Kaplan. Seniors
Max Kaye and
Harrison Lands also won convincingly at the No. 1 doubles spot, blasting William MacArthur and Nolan Bacchieri by an 8-1 score.
After sweeping doubles, Swarthmore won all of its singles matches in straight sets. Collard defeated MacArthur 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and Kaye won by identical 6-4 scores at the No. 2 spot. Freshman

Swarthmore will look to remain unbeaten in Centennial Conference action when it visits Gettysburg on Wednesday, Apr. 16 at 4 p.m.
