SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's tennis team (8-2, 5-0) kept its unblemished conference record intact with a 7-2 win over Ursinus on Tuesday afternoon from the Faulkner Courts.
Senior Emily Rosenblum, senior Kelsey Johnson and junior Katie Samuelson all won a pair of match for the Garnet, which has now won four consecutive matches.
The Garnet dominated doubles to jump ahead 3-0. Rosenblum teammed with junior Lia Carlson to win at No. 1 doubles 8-2 over the Bears' Heather McMasters/Deborah Choi. Junior Brooke Wilkins and Samuelson won at No. 2 8-5 and Johnson and freshman Jackie Lane paired up win at No. 3 8-1 over Ursinus' Renee Tornea and Audrey Whitebloom.
In singles, the Bears picked up points at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, but it wasn't enough to overtake Swat. Along with the double winners, sophomore Gayatri Iyengar was victorious at No. 6 singles over Deborah Choi.
Swarthmore hosts Franklin & Marshall on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
