No. 26 Men's Tennis Bounces Back With 8-1 Win Over Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The No. 26 Swarthmore College men's tennis team (8-7, 4-2) got back in the win column on Tuesday evening, using a sweep of singles to defeat Gettysburg by a score of 8-1.

Junior Anthony Collard, senior Malik Mubeen, sophomore Irving Stone and sophomore Harrison Lands all won a pair of matches for the Garnet, which did not drop a set in singles play.

The Bullets put up a fight in doubles, winning from the No. 2 spot 9-8 (7-5) while giving the No. 1 team (Collard/Mubeen) and No. 3 team (Stone/Lands) all they could handle in close matches.

In singles, it was all Swarthmore. In additon to the doubles' winners, junior Christian Carcione and senior James Wieler cruised to easy wins to finish off the 8-1 victory.

Swarthmore returns home Saturday to face Dickinson (1:00 pm).
