Marie Mancini has been a part of the Swarthmore Sports Medicine Department since 1986. A 1983 graduate of West Chester University, she earned a Bachelor of Science in health and physical education. Prior to Swarthmore College, Marie worked at Warren Hills Regional High School in Washington, N.J. For 16 years, Marie worked along side her mentor, Doug Weiss, at the College and was named head athletic trainer upon his retirement in 2002.
Marie has been a NATA BOC Certified Athletic Trainer since 1985 and a member of the NATA since 1981. She has also been a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 1997 and a member of the NSCA since 1996. Marie is licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an athletic trainer. She is CPR/AED Professional Rescuer certified by the American Red Cross.
Marie has volunteered her Athletic Training services for various fundraising activities on campus and has been a guest lecturer for the College's Wellness Group and Student Wellness Group.
