Katrina Silva joined the Swarthmore women's lacrosse program as an assistant coach in September of 2023.
Silva brings a plethora of experience to the sideline, including stints as the head coach of Division-I programs; Robert Morris (2012-2023), Virginia Tech University (2006-2010), Colgate University (1999-2006), and Division III programs; Roanoke College (1996-1999) and Goucher College (1992-1994).
Silva had an outstanding career as a Field Hockey and Lacrosse Goalkeeper at Towson State University. She graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and a Minor in Psychology. A three-year starter in lacrosse for a nationally ranked lacrosse team and a four-year starter for the field hockey team, she was named the Defensive Player of the Year for the Southeast Region in 1993.
In addition, Silva was elected and served on the Board of Governor’s College Coaches Council for the USL, the Chairperson for the Division I/III Coach of the year, Regional All American, and the Growth & Division III Poll Committees.
Silva is also the Owner and Director of Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse Club, LLC.
