Chris Valis joined the Swarthmore College baseball staff after six seasons as the head varsity baseball coach at Unionville High School. During his tenure, Valis led the Longhorns to back-to-back Ches-Mont American Division championships and three postseason appearances in a four year run.
Beyond the team’s on-field success, Valis developed a comprehensive year-round program focused on player development, arm care, strength and conditioning, and recruiting exposure. He expanded Unionville’s coaching staff and offseason offerings, helped spearhead the development of a new baseball stadium, enhanced the program’s training technology and equipment, and established a live-streaming and broadcast operation that provided players with game film and greater exposure to college coaches.
Valis previously served as an assistant coach at Penn State Brandywine, working with catchers, outfielders, hitters, and baserunners. He has also served as the head coach of the Chester County Carpenter Cup team, leading the program to the 2025 championship game at Citizens Bank Park—its first appearance in the title game in more than 20 years.
Valis is the owner of Revolution Baseball Academy, where he oversees travel teams, player development programs, camps, clinics, and an indoor training facility equipped with HitTrax technology. He has also developed a proprietary baseball analytics and information platform designed to organize player performance data, identify trends, and support data-informed coaching and player-development decisions.
Valis earned a Master of Arts in Mathematics from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, summa cum laude, from Salisbury University.
