Alicia Fout was hired as the Associate Director of the Swarthmore Fund in November 2023. The position provides direction, management, and hands-on work in developing and growing Swarthmore's annual fund programs, focusing on reunion, athletic, family, and student philanthropy.

Fout brings nearly a decade of philanthropic experience to Swarthmore College. She arrives at the College after spending the past five years as the Director of Advancement Services at the Urban Land Institute. In her role, Fout established, coordinated, and managed best practices, processes and procedures for executing the foundation's first-ever comprehensive campaign.

Prior to her work with the Urban Land Institute, Fout served as the Director of Stewardship at George Washington University for two years. Fout was tasked with developing and executing personalized engagement plans, while also assisting in the creation of programs, events, and branding opportunities.

Having served in roles for The Armory Foundation and the Penn Relays, Fout is no stranger to athletics. Fout spent one year as the Manager of Track & Field Operations for The Armory Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving youth by promoting fitness and education through a broad range of athletic, educational, and community programs. She has also served more than a decade as a volunteer coordinator for the Penn Relays and is a certified USATF official.

Fout earned her bachelor's in English at George Mason University in 2009. While with the Patriots, she was a four-year member of the track & field team, while also serving as a senior captain on the cross country team. Fout went on to achieve her master's in sport management from Florida State University, where she served as a graduate assistant for the men's and women's track & field teams. While at FSU, she discovered her love for philanthropy during an internship with the Seminole Boosters, the fundraising arm of the FSU athletic department.

A native of Havertown, PA, Fout was inducted into the Haverford High School Hall of Fame in 2015, recognized for her contributions to the program as a member of the girls 4x800 meter relay that won the Pennsylvania State Championship in 2004. The school record still stands to this day. Fout currently resides in Media with her husband and daughter and is an avid Philadelphia sports fan.
