The team has reached the round of 16 of the NCAA Championships twice and has been ranked in the top 20 in the country on seven separate occasions (the highest national ranking being No. 14). In conference, the team has won four Centennial Conference Team Championships alongside 10 runner-up finishes.

Many individuals have excelled in the program, earning eight All-America distinctions and qualifying for eight NCAA Division III Championships. Additionally, past performances have garnered nine conference Player of Year awards, 27 conference first-team singles awards, 20 first-team doubles pairings, and four Rookie of the Year awards since the award was created in 2013.

Loomis began his coaching career in Jakarta, Indonesia where he was part of the staff that trained the Indonesian Junior National Team and several Indonesian Federation Cup and Davis Cup players.

Upon returning to the United States, Loomis earned a master's degree in Exercise Science from Miami (Ohio) University and was the assistant coach for the men's tennis team that won consecutive MAC conference championships. He then took the helm at his alma mater, coaching the men's tennis team and assisting with the women's program. While attending to his coaching duties, Loomis earned an M.B.A. from R.H.
