Amy Strachan is a life-long soccer player and now "soccer mom" to three young sons and a daughter in Swarthmore. She is very active in youth recreation organizations in the area, most notably the local soccer club. Amy is a former Division III athlete and is familiar with the competing commitments and pressures that face balancing academics, athletics, and other activities as a scholar-athlete.
After college, Amy attended law school and worked as an attorney for eight years before taking a career break to be an at-home parent. She has kept herself busy in the local community through nonprofit board work, fundraising, volunteering, and running several marathons during that period. She continues to play as a member of the local Swarthmore Women's group.
