Marie Mutryn is entering her second year as assistant coach for the Garnet.
A standout attacker and 4-year starter for the Garnet from 2009-2012 amassing a total of 131 goals, 36 assists, 167 points, and 73 ground balls during her career. As a captain her senior season, she help lead the Garnet to their first Centennial playoff berth since 2006 and first-ever playoff win in program history.
Mutryn was the recipient of the May E. Parry Award, which is presented to the senior woman who, by her loyalty, sportsmanship, and versatility in athletics, has made a valuable contribution to Swarthmore College.
Mutryn was also a 3-year starter as goalkeeper earing all-conference honors for the Swarthmore women’s soccer team and helped lead the team to an ECAC championship in 2009 as well as multiple conference playoff births.
A native of Rexford, N.Y., Mutryn graduated from Swarthmore in 2012 with a degree in Biology. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Delaware.
