Rashanna Edwards is in her first season as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Swarthmore College. She is responsible for assisting head coach Renee DeVarney with all aspects of the program and with an emphasis on coaching the guards.
Edwards was a four-year letterwinner as a point guard at the University of the Sciences from 2003-07. She led the Devils to a pair of NCAA Division II Tournament appearances and ranks second all-time in the program annals with 427 career assists. In addition, the point guard was honorably mentioned for all-conference laurels as a senior.
A native of West Windsor, N.J., Edwards earned a doctorate degree in physical therapy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2009. She currently resides in Havertown and enjoys playing sports and spending time with her daughter, Alani, in her free time.
