Heather Marandola

Swarthmore College graduate Heather Marandola ‘01 returns to the Garnet coaching staff for the 2021-2022 season.

A 2001 graduate of the College, Marandola played point guard for the Garnet and helped lead the 2000-01 women’s basketball team to the Centennial Conference Championship and the program’s first NCAA tournament appearance.

Following graduation from Swarthmore, Marandola remained as an assistant coach for two years under head coach Adrienne Shibles. Marandola also spent two years as an assistant coach at Bryn Mawr College under head coach Kathryn Tarr ‘02 and later returned to the Garnet coaching staff for the 2015-2016 season.

In 2013, Marandola was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame under the Scholar-Athlete category in recognition of her contributions to the growth of basketball in New England.  

Marandola holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Swarthmore College and a masters of engineering in systems engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
