Holly Schell enters her first season as an assistant softball coach at Swarthmore.
Schell is a 2013 graduate of Immaculata University with a degree in Elementary/Special Education with a concentration in English. As a standout infielder for the Mighty Macs, Schell finished her standout career starting all 147 games with 186 hits, 80 RBI and 136 runs scored. She hit 27 doubles, 10 triples and seven home runs. She finished with a .497 slugging percentage and .410 on-base percentage. She was also 44-for-55 in stolen bases.
The Sewell, N.J. native and Paul IV High School graduate was named the 2013 CSAC Player of the Year along with earning First Team All-CSAC honors for the second-straight season. She was selected Third Team Capital One Academic All-America Division III by CoSIDA in 2013 along with receiving CSAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Year accolades. Additionally, Schell is a three-time Philadelphia Inquirer All-Area Softball Team member for her efforts on the field and in the classroom.
She currently teaches second grade in West Brandywine Township.
