Mark Fallati '18 returned to the Swarthmore College Men's Tennis program as an assistant coach prior to the 2019-20 season. A four-year letterman for the Garnet, Fallati was a nationally-ranked singles and doubles player and twice qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship. He recorded the most 1st doubles wins and second-most 1st singles wins in program history.
As a senior captain, Fallati helped lead Swarthmore as high as #16 in the country with multiple victories over teams in the top 12. The program topped all NCAA institutions with 14 national scholar-athlete awards. He was selected as the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Player of the Year, his second such honor and third appearance on the Academic All-Area Team.
Fallati garnered several Centennial Conference accolades in his career, including Player of the Year as a sophomore and senior as well as Rookie of the Year, and is one of two men in conference history named to the all-conference first team the maximum eight times. In 2018, the Centennial honored Fallati on its Silver Anniversary Team, recognizing the best players since its establishment.
Fallati graduated from Swarthmore in 2018 with a degree in economics. Fallati received the Robert Dunn Award in 2016 as Swarthmore's top male sophomore athlete. Off the court, he was a three-time member of the Centennial Academic Honor Roll and a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete.
