Eric Roddy

Eric Roddy joins the Swarthmore community as the leave replacement Head Coach for Mike Mullan in the Fall of 2017. Roddy will also stay on as the assistant for the spring season.

Roddy graduated from Sewanee: the University of the South in 2016 where he played on the tennis team all four years, primarily at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Tigers. His senior season, Roddy teamed up with partner Jack Gray to win the ITA South Regional in doubles to earn All-American status before eventually falling in the finals of the ITA Small College Nationals tournament in South Carolina. They were ranked as high as No. 2 in Division III for doubles.

Roddy graduated Sewanee with a degree in English and Spanish, and a minor in business. He was a 2015 Rhodes Scholar Finalist, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He spent the last year in A Coruña, Spain, teaching English at a high school. In his free time, Roddy enjoys watching the Miami Dolphins, and runs the website mia.scout.com for CBS Sports and Scout Media.
