Swarthmore College Athletics

Leisha Shaffer ’83 has been involved with the Swarthmore Swimming programs for more than 30 years; first competing as a student-athlete and since as a member of the coaching staff. Shaffer swam for the Garnet for four years, twice competing at the Division III NCAA Championships. She spent two years as the full-time assistant coach before moving to a part time position as she embarked on a career in the newspaper industry.

Shaffer served as the interim head coach during the 1993 and 2015 seasons. Her primary responsibilities include on-deck coaching and scouting the conference to best prepare the Garnet for dual meet and championship competitions.
