Chaz Gorman enters his seventh season coaching Swarthmore in 2020. He will work primarily with the faceoff unit and assist with the midfielders. Under Gorman’s coaching, the faceoff unit saw a dramatic immediate improvement from 37 percent in 2013 to 51 percent in 2014. The Garnet have now won more than 50 percent of their faceoffs each season from 2014 to present. In 2017, Gorman coached Stephen Ducey to All-Centennial First Team honors as a faceoff specialist.
Gorman is a Philadelphia native and majored in finance at Immaculata University. While at Immaculata, Gorman won 48 percent of his faceoffs and picked up 147 ground balls during his career. He was also named all-conference for the Colonial States Athletics Conference twice.
Currently, Chaz works as an advisor with Element Risk management in West Chester. He and his wife Courtney live in Newtown Square with their son Mason.
