Swarthmore College Athletics

Brendan McShea joined the Swarthmore College men’s basketball program as an assistant coach in 2012 and was named the program's associate head coach in 2017 .

McShea earned a master's degree in sports management from Central Missouri and performed his undergraduate studies at William and Mary, where he helped the Tribe as a student coach for three years under head coach Tony Shaver. Prior to working at Swarthmore, McShea was an assistant coach at Allegheny College and Culver-Stockton College and was the head junior varsity coach at the Virginia Episcopal School where he helped guide the program to the Virginia Prep State Elite 8 on two occassions.

During his coaching career, he has coached three all-conference players and four players that have gone on to play professional basketball overseas.
