Bill Turley enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Swarthmore College men’s basketball program this winter. He is responsible for assisting head coach Landry Kosmalski with all aspects of the program with an emphasis on shooting and overseeing the training and development of the guards.
Turley has most recently been the head junior varsity boys basketball coach and assistant varsity coach at nearby Conestoga High School since 2006. In addition, he has been the mentor for the Pennsylvania Wildcats AAU program.
Off the court, Turley has been working as a TEMS fifth grade core teacher and team facilitator in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District for the past 15 years. He was also a first grade teacher at Beaumont Elementary School from 1994-98.
Turley earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from King’s College and a master’s in teaching from Pittsburgh in 1994.
