Swarthmore College Athletics

Miranda graduated from Swarthmore College in 1993 with a degree in Economics. While at Swarthmore, she played Varsity Tennis for three years and ran for the Varsity Track & Field team during her senior year. She also led campus tours, worked in the Career Planning & Placement Office, and managed finances for Paces, the student-run café. Miranda met her husband, Tom (Class of 1991) who played on the Men’s Varsity Tennis team and was part of the 1990 national championship team. Aidan (Class of 2024), one of their three children, became the next Swarthmore student athlete in the family, competing on the Varsity Cross Country and Track teams and earning All American honors his senior year. 

After graduating, Miranda completed a multi-year business management training program before earning her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. She practiced law briefly at a corporate firm before taking time off to raise her three children and engage in extensive volunteer work. She later worked in travel planning for Expedia and currently serves as Director of Operations at a franchise development company.

Miranda lives in northern New Jersey with Tom and their two dogs, and is grateful to have their three young adult children nearby. She remains an avid runner and enjoys putting her former tennis skills to use in games of pickleball with friends.
