Aimee MacFarland has been a Swarthmore College assistant field hockey coach since 2022. The Garnet have put together three consecutive winning seasons and hold a 33-23 record since MacFarland joined the staff.
MacFarland joined the Garnet after spending two years as the assistant field hockey coach at Dickinson College. During the 2021 season, the Red Devils finished with a 7-3 conference mark while advancing to the Centennial Conference Championship.
Before starting her coaching career, MacFarland graduated from Delaware Valley University where she was a four-year starter for the Aggies. MacFarland was a standout defender and midfielder, starting all but one game in her career and serving as a team captain as a senior. She was also involved on campus as a peer mentor, a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, serving as the vice president during her senior year.
While at Delaware Valley University, MacFarland earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management. She is currently finishing up a Masters of Sports Management from Arkansas State University.
