Scott Renauro enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Swarthmore baseball program. He assists with the training and development of the infielders and hitters and also coaches third base for the Garnet.
In 2013, Â Renauro coached two infielders and a total of four hitters to all-conference honors. The Garnet increased their fielding percentage and batting average from the previous year and are looking to improve that number again this spring.
Renauro graduated from West Deptford High School in New Jersey in 2008. He earned all-conference, All-Courier Post, and all-county honors his senior Year. In addition, he was also selected to the prestigious Carpenter Cup Team.
Renauro attended EasternUniversity and started in the middle infield all four years. He was recognized as best male athlete at Eastern his sophomore year and was named to the All-Conference (MAC) team twice in his career. Renauro led the Eagles to the program’s winningest season his sophomore year, posting a .415 average and an on-base percentage that was over .600. He finished his career with multiple single season and career records at Eastern.
Renauro graduated from Eastern in 2012 with bachelor’s degree in marketing and management. He resides in Norristown, Pa. with his wife, Amanda.
