Paul Searles enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Garnet. He is responsible for mentoring the team’s hitters and catchers, as well as serving as the first base coach on game days. Off the field, Searles helps coordinate the Garnet’s youth clinics and team training.
In addition, Searles coached the Freehold Clippers of the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League in 2014, and will be managing the Alton Pioneers of the Lewis and Clark Baseball League in St. Louis, Mo. this summer.
Prior to coming to Swarthmore, Searles was a four-year letterwinner at catcher for The College of New Jersey where he helped the program qualify for the conference tournament every year he was on the roster.
A native of Holmdel, N.J., Searles received a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science Teaching from TCNJ in 2014.
